Marnie writes Carrots Are Orange, a blog she started in 2010 after the birth of her first son. She hails from Maine, which she calls a “wonderfully down-to-earth place to grow up and learn.” Marnie moved to the west coast in 1999 and currently lives in Seattle with her husband, Tim, and two young boys. MaryLea Harris is a former elementary-school art teacher. She lives in the DC metro area, where she likes to create, play and explore with her two daughters (ages 5 and 9). MaryLea shares their adventures and more than 800 kid-friendly “craftivities” on her award-winning blog, pinkandgreenmama.com. Her articles and crafts have been featured in dozens of online and print publications. She writes for PBS Parents, Mom’s Homeroom, Family Fun and Kids Crafts 1-2-3 Magazine. MaryLea has authored 10 Art Lesson e-books and loves to host birthday parties, teach craft classes for kids and make messes in her art studio.
Kristina’s blog, Toddler Approved, helps parents capitalize on teachable moments and motivates them to discover, create and learn with their kids, through a mix of crafts and activities, parenting tips and book reviews. She’s mom to a toddler, a preschooler and a baby on the way! A former special-education teacher, Kristina is constantly learning how to adapt to and enjoy the developmental milestones her children hit. She is a contributor at Life Your Way and Quirky Momma. Jenae is a former first-grade teacher turned stay-at-home mama to two energetic little boys (ages 4 and 2). She believes that a parent is a child’s first and most important teacher. Rachelle Doorley is an artist and mother of two. She holds a master’s degree in arts education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and lectures on visual literacy at Stanford and the San Jose Museum of Art.
Adrienne, aka The Iowa Farmer’s Wife, is a mommy blogger and mother of two who enjoys sharing simple ideas about educational activities for kids, frugal living and healthy eating. She lives in the Midwest, where she and her husband own a small farm.
