What special family traditions do you have for celebrating the Back to School season? Is a Family Feast on the calendar? Today I’m sharing some quick and easy (and adorable!) ideas for setting a festive table over on Peanut Blossom but I wanted to share this super easy trick for painting little red apple placemats with you here!
In order to surprise my kids, I did these myself but they’d be even more fun done as a family project the day before.
The Melissa & Doug finger paint pad is the perfect size for using as a placemat. I love that we can decorate these for each season. Simply mold the toilet paper tube to form a divet towards the top of the “apple”, dip in paint, and press onto the paper.
And that’s it! How easy was that?! Want to check out the rest of the table decorations? Come on over to Peanut Blossom and check out my Back to School Family Feast!
