This is a great activity for just before bath time! -Val
Recently I invited my kids to get super messy making lots of action-packed art. It was a fun-filled afternoon making lots of memories together, and in my opinion, very much worth the mess!
I thought you might like to grab some painting supplies, and go outside to make some big messy art of your own! We love Melissa & Doug’s Washable Poster Paint Set. It is ideal for this! Also, this is a great activity for just before bath time.
Besides the washable paint, you will need some brushes, a roll of paper, and some water. Of course, you will also need plenty of room to explore your wild-and-crazy painting methods.
Now is the perfect time to express your inner rock star!
Encourage your child to try various painting techniques — the messier the better! My kids were delighted to splatter-paint with brushes, finger paint while jumping, and in general make a huge mess!!
It. Was. Awesome!!!
The paper can be used to wrap presents, cut up and made into cards to mail to family and friends, or saved to cover your child’s schoolbooks in the fall.
Have fun exploring messy art (and making lots of memories) together!
